Leading our culinary team isExecutive Chef Vincent Altavilla.
Chef Altavilla began his career at age 14 in the South of France, learning the art of Classical French, Provencal, Nouveau, and European Styles of Cuisine.
After moving to California, he started his Catering Career at TK&A Custom
Catering. In his 10 years as Head Chef, he furthered his knowledge of world
cuisine and executed events from 5 to 5000 guests.
He left TK&A Custom Catering in 2006, to start Authentic Flavors
Custom Catering.
Joining our Executive Chef, is our Sous Chef, Jeff Stanko. Chef Stanko
graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, NY in 1999. He has worked some of the most prestigious properties in the country, such as Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago.
He moved to San Diego in 2003 where he joined TK&A to train under
Chef Altavilla. They had worked together for over 4 years, when Chef Stanko joined Chef Altavilla to work side by side at Authentic Flavors Custom Catering. He brings a extensive working knowledge of off-premise operations helping to make event food preparation and finish fresh and seamless.
Authentic Flavors with 17 years of experience in the catering business;
Administration, Staffing, Sales and overall Event Coordination. A BS in
Art Education, several years of administrative experience in the corporate world, as well as the private sector and a love of food and cooking have
allowed her to bring wide ranging experience to every aspect of event planning and to Authentic Flavors. A combination of artistic creativity, attention
to detail and a high standard of professionalism provide the tools to plan all levels of corporate and social events, weddings large and small, menus simple or sophisticated.
And finally, our Cake Specialist, Cheli Madrid. Cheli joined the team with 18 years of experience in both the Baking and Catering industries. She worked in her parents bakery beginning at age 15, baking and eventually
designing Wedding and Specialty Cakes. At the age 21 she opened her own
restaurant and catering company. Now offering our company her expertise in Cake Design and Event Planning, she completes our team with the perfect cake for your special event, extensive knowledge of our pastries and other desserts and the ability to manage a catered event.
